A White 2009 Christmas at Larrapin

- White Oak in the Snow

Happy Holidays everyone from the still-snowy hilltop in the Ozarks where Larrapin Garden lives. I hope your celebration days were delightful. Mine couldn’t have been better—a white Christmas with warm woodstove, great food and the best company…. A lot to fill a gal with gratitude! This is my first White Christmas. It’s a rare phenomenon for Southerners. Here in Fayetteville (Arkansas) I feel especially lucky after reading in the paper this is just the fifth White Christmas here since 1900!

- Autumn Joy Sedum in Snow

- Red Twig Dogwood & Evergreens

- Garden Prep On Hold

- A Junco. Snowbird to me.

- St. Francis

Yes Saint Frank, we are indeed keeping the bird feeders filled and putting out non-frozen water for them too.
Hope your holidays were everything you dreamed of and that you are resting up and enjoying the leftovers and good memories. Thank you so much for stopping by on a snowy afternoon. Stay warm and start writing those gardeners’ resolutions for 2010! What are your garden plans for 2010? I’d love to hear about them.

Having a hard time getting anything done this morning. Placed lots of black sunflower seeds and suet on a table where I can see it from the couch. The birds are so fun to watch.

Cindi – great to hear from you! Girl, with all you do, a morning or two of rest is an order!
I’ve had a great time watching the birds all over everything around the feeder. And now the woodpeckers sit and stare in the kitchen window if the suet runs out. I look forward to seeing you sometime to hear what wonderful things you have in store for 2010.
